The Seaside Came to Town at Middleton Grange’s Free Beach-Themed Event!

There was no need to travel for a day at the beach; on Saturday 30th August, Middleton Grange brought the seaside to you!
As part of our Summer Saturdays event series, Central Square was transformed into a vibrant beach-themed extravaganza, complete with palm trees, a giant deck chair and a sandpit for the whole family to enjoy.
Here’s what visitors enjoyed on the day:
- Seaside storybooks for children and parents to read together.
- A sandpit where little ones could dig, build and play.
- Free face painting with colourful, creative designs.
- Traditional seaside games including Splat the Rat, Hook a Duck, Feed the Monsters, Tin Can Alley and Hoopla.
- Creative craft activities such as sand art and shell painting.
- A giant deckchair, perfect for family photos to remember the day.
From crafting and competing in games to relaxing in the giant deckchair, families enjoyed a full day of fun, laughter and seaside vibes; all without leaving town!
